EDMOND, Okla. - You can train like a ninja at a new gym called Phamily Fun & Fitness, which is now open in Edmond.

Training like a ninja means stepping outside of your comfort zone and trading in the weights and cardio machines.

"Balance, agility, core, upper body training, using your momentum to overcome certain obstacles," said owner Dominic Pham.

For the past three years, Dominic Pham has been dreaming of making it on the hit NBC show "American Ninja Warrior."

He's been close, and he was even chosen to help test the course that was set up outside the Oklahoma State Capitol recently.

However, he's tired of waiting, so he's bringing his own version to the people.

"It's purely just a ninja spirit," said Pham. "When there's an obstacle in the road and it might be difficult, it's your way to think first then act upon it.”

Pham built 90 percent of the obstacles, which are designed for adults and children.

"They see these little goals reached and they're overcoming these obstacles," said Pham.

This gym is the first of its kind in the metro and Pham encourages Oklahomans to find their warrior within.

"I know there's so many Oklahoma citizens that have that power and have that strength. I want to put Oklahoma on the map and show them what we can do!” said Pham.

Day passes cost $16 for adults and teens 14 years or older.

It costs $13 for a day pass for teens 13 years and younger.

Phamily Fun & Fitness also offers memberships and hosts parties.
