WYNNEWOOD, Okla. - Authorities in Wynnewood are searching for suspects as a man recovers from a brutal attack involving a baseball bat.

The victim says he was walking home from the EZ Mart in Wynnewood when two men approached him and asked for his wallet.

He says when he refused to give it to them, one of the men hit him in the back of the head with a bat.

When he woke up, both suspects and his wallet were gone.

Despite losing a lot of blood, he was able to make it to a nearby home to call 911.

"Lost consciousness in the middle of a conversation with the reserve officer and he passed out, hit the ground, so we asked the ambulance to step it up a little bit," said Assistant Chief Jeremy Lansdale, with the Wynnewood Police Department.

The alleged suspects are described as two white males and one of them had short blond hair.

They have not been identified but police say they have a pretty good lead on one of those suspects.
