JACKSON, N.J. – A New Jersey teenager says she suffered serious injuries after what should have been a fun ride on a roller coaster.

Sabreen Nassar and her boyfriend, Liam Tully, were riding the El Toro ride at Six Flags in Maryland when she felt something hit her face.

“Like a baseball bat to the face,” Nassar told News 12.

As a result, Nassar says her front tooth was knocked out and she suffered several broken teeth in the back of her mouth.

Park officials say Nassar was given immediate medical attention, but she says that was not the case.

“They just gave me paper towels for the blood and that was it. They kinda like didn’t know what to do,” Nassar said.

Six Flags officials say loose items are prohibited on their rides, but Nassar says patrons need to be aware that taking items on a ride can injure others.
