Tips to avoid debilitating sciatica pain

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sciatica pain is something that millions of Americans deal with every single day.

The pain can run from your lower back down to your feet and is caused by a pinched nerve in the lower back.

Experts say one in two people will suffer from sciatica at some point in their life.

However, Dr. James Lynch, from Oklahoma Pain Management and Research, says there are some easy things you can do to prevent that type of pain.

Exercising and strengthening your core is key to preventing an injury. Also, avoid sitting for long periods of time.
