Oklahoma retirement community raises money for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s

OKLAHOMA CITY– A retirement community has been spending the summer raising money to donate to the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Village on the Park held several fundraisers including a contest for pies in the face, “Dollars for Dementia”, and a t-shirt contest.

Through their efforts, the retirement community was able to raise 1100 dollars. They presented a check to the walk’s chairman Thursday afternoon.

The community will be holding their own walk on September 23rd so the residents can participate.

The 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is on September 24th at the¬†Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. You can find more on the website.¬†
