11-year-old boy shot in Enid; alleged suspect on the loose

ENID, Okla. – Authorities are searching for a suspect accused of shooting an 11-year-old Oklahoma boy.

On Monday, officers were called to the area of 7th and Cherokee in Enid after learning that an 11-year-old boy had been shot. Investigators say the victim was shot in the shoulder and hand.

Witnesses told police that a dark blue or gray vehicle was parked along 7th St.  when a passenger got out and fired multiple rounds toward the west.

The man is described as a white man wearing a red hat, red shirt and blue jeans or blue jean shorts.

The victim was rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital where he was treated and released.

So far, no arrests have been made in the case.
