KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A 15-year-old girl died with her fingers crossed after trying to outrun a drive-by shooting on Friday night.

Brannae Browne was sitting on a porch with friends when a car drove up and opened fire.

Browne tried to run but was shot in the stomach. She died on the floor of her sister's apartment.

"The last time we said her name, she turned her head and looked at me and my sister and she had her fingers crossed like this, and that's when she took her last breath," Tahsay Horton told WDAF.

One person has been arrested but charges have not been filed in the case.
