SHAWNEE, Okla.-- Police were in hot pursuit of a vehicle after they say the driver flew past them and then sped up as he drove into town.

They say the convicted felon was breaking the law again, and this time in the commission of more felonies, and he's only 21-years-old.

As he hit the gas, he also started throwing guns, money and drugs out the window.

"He increased his speeds to 70 and 80 in a residential neighborhood,” Pottawatomie County Undersheriff JT Palmer said.

Deputies say they caught Bradley Cross doing 65 in a 35, and then once he hit town he sped up to 80 as he barreled through neighborhoods and a school district.

"He almost hit a pickup that was parked in the driveway,” Palmer said. "He was actually throwing bags out the window. We found bags that had guns in it, narcotics and drugs in his pocket what is believed to be crystal meth."

One of those guns was stolen. Deputies also found a large amount of crystal meth along with a pipe to smoke it and several thousand dollars cash.

"If it had been any earlier in the day we would have had school kids to worry about,” Palmer said.

Cross was taken into custody and is now facing several felony charges.
