Police searching for man wanted for kidnapping, first-degree burglary

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police are searching for a man who is wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a man last month.

On Aug. 23, officers were called to a body found near N.E. 16th St. and Coltrane.

Investigators soon learned the victim had been shot to death.

Officials claim that 22-year-old Derrick Lamont Garrett kidnapped the victim from his home before the shooting occurred.

Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Garrett for kidnapping and first-degree burglary.
