NORMAN, Okla. - A 911 call reveals the terrifying moments after a woman found a strange man with a knife hiding in her apartment.

She’d left her apartment for just a few minutes, and nothing seemed out of place or suspicious when she got back but, when she went to her bedroom, she saw a man with a knife in the back of her closet staring right at her.

The woman called 911 from her apartment on W. Robinson in Norman.

“He was like 'Don’t scream. Don’t scream.' I was like 'Please, just get whatever you want, whatever you want, take it,'” the woman said in the recording.

She’d left her apartment for just a few minutes to get her laundry from the laundry site at the complex.

When she got back home, nothing seemed out of place until she got to her bedroom closet.

A man with a knife stood there between the racks of clothes.

He was eerily staring at her and then he touched her.

“He grabbed my neck, and he didn’t hurt me, but he was in my apartment and he wouldn’t let me out. Eventually, he just left,” the woman said.

She locked the door and called 911, crying as she explained everything to the operator.

Police have been on the lookout for the suspect for about a month now.

The victim said he was wearing khaki shorts and a T-shirt with 'Yoshi' on it from the Mario Brothers franchise.

He’s described as a white man, about 5’9” tall and appeared to be in his early 20s.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the sketch should call Norman police.
