Oklahoma woman arrested after allegedly hitting, killing pedestrian in crosswalk

TULSA, Okla. – Authorities in Tulsa arrested a 25-year-old woman after she allegedly hit and killed a pedestrian on Sunday evening.

According to KJRH, police say the victim was crossing the street in a crosswalk near 34th and Peoria when he was hit by an SUV around 9 p.m.

Sadly, the man died from his injuries.

Officers say the driver of the SUV, 25-year-old Lindsey Smith, admitted to drinking two beers before the crash.

FOX 23 reports that Smith allegedly hit a curb and struck another vehicle before hitting the victim.

She was arrested on complaints of manslaughter and failure to yield to a pedestrian.
