ENID, Okla. – An Enid man is facing embezzlement charges after he allegedly took money from his job.

On Sept. 23, officers were called to the Love’s Travel Stop on a reported theft.

According to the Enid News & Eagle, the store’s general manager says he noticed an unusually high number of questionable returns linked to the store’s assistant manager, Bobby Wayne Neil.

An affidavit claims that Neil admitted to filing the fake returns to use the money for bills.

When his mother died, Neil says he needed money to help pay for her funeral, so he continued making fake returns.

In all, officials believe he took about $3,900 from the business.

He was arrested and charged with felony embezzlement.
