OKLAHOMA CITY – While the start of the preseason less than a week away, the Oklahoma City Thunder has already announced that one player will be sidelined with an injury.

On Thursday, the Thunder announced that guard Cameron Payne suffered an acute fracture to his fifth metatarsal in his foot.

Team officials say the injury occurred during Tuesday night’s Blue-White Scrimmage.

Payne averaged 5 points and 1.5 rebounds during his rookie season with the Thunder.

Officials say Payne will see his physician and specialists this week to see what needs to be done.
