CHICKASHA, Okla. - The Chickasha Police Department is issuing a warning for creepy clowns.

Around 3:30 Tuesday morning, Jacob Cardona said he stepped outside and saw a clown underneath a light post near 20th Street and Oregon.

“He was wearing a black jumpsuit that was from like maybe from the oilfield or something, but it was just pure black. I know the mask was white with red hair on top of it with a dark red nose,” Cardona said.

Creeped out, he did not go near the stranger.

“He was just staring at me. I could tell he was having eye contact, because he was walking forward a little bit. Then, he backed off,” Cardona said.

When he started dialing 911, he said the clown took off down the railroad tracks.

“It terrifies me, because I have a 7-month-old son myself,” Cardona said.

He has been telling his neighbors to keep their families inside at night and lock their doors, while police are telling perpetrators there is no clowning around in Chickasha.

The department posted this to their Facebook page:

Chickasha police said this has been the only sighting reported to them.

It is important to note nobody has been harmed by a creepy clown anywhere in the country since the social media storm hit about two weeks ago.
