Pedestrian dies after stepping in front of vehicle near Kilpatrick Turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY – Officials say a 52-year-old man died over the weekend after he reportedly stepped in front of a vehicle near the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officials say 18-year-old Angelica Yparrea was driving northbound on Lake Hefner Parkway when exited onto the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

That is when 52-year-old James Stanley stepped in front of Yparrea’s vehicle.

Stanley was struck by the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
