OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma group is hoping to bring a little bit of Halloween fun to children battling illnesses in the metro.

Northwest Young Professionals is partnering with the Northwest Oklahoma City Chamber to host a Halloween basket drive.

The baskets will then be given to children and patients at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital.

The organization is collecting baskets full of crayons, coloring books, card games, board games, crossword puzzles and stickers.

“Fall at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital is always a fun time full of activities. The young patients create art projects and take a field trip to TG Farms in Newcastle. We are excited that the Northwest Oklahoma City Chamber will be a part of making autumn memories this year for the patients through a gift basket drive,” said Heidi Russell, with the Children Center’s Rehabilitation Hospital.

All baskets can be dropped off at the Chamber’s main office at 7440 NW 39th Expressway in Bethany through Oct. 24.

On Oct. 25, members of the Chamber and NYP, along with Miss Bethany Outstanding Teen Kamryn Good will be delivering the baskets to the children and patients at the center.
