OHP troopers serve search warrant at McClain County home

BLANCHARD, Okla. – Shots rang out while officers were serving a search warrant at a McClain County home Thursday.

Thursday afternoon, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say they tracked some stolen equipment to a McClain County home.

Around 1:50 p.m., when officers attempted to serve a search warrant at the home, gun shots were heard.

Officials say officers were loading up the alleged stolen equipment when a 60-year-old man shot himself.

Authorities say the man claimed the equipment wasn’t stolen.

He had gone inside his home to retrieve receipts when he shot himself.

Authorities confirmed the man died at the scene.
