LUTHER,Okla.– Luther schools are on  lock down while the search is on for a man accused of a multi-county crime spree including shooting two police officers and killing two family members in the Luther area.

Officials are searching for Michael Vance.

Vance is accused of shooting two Wellston Police officers on Sunday night, killing his aunt and uncle, shooting and carjacking a woman in Lincoln County as well as possibly shooting and trying to carjack a man at a truck stop in Sayre, Oklahoma.

The Luther superintendent tells KFOR the schools are on partial lock down at all sites.

That means they did not have time to cancel a blood drive on Monday.

School officials say since it is believed Vance could have returned to the area there will be a law enforcement presence at the beginning and end of school until he is in custody.
