Thunder Sign Adams and Oladipo to Contract Extensions
The Oklahoma City Thunder announced late Monday night, October 31, they have signed guard Victor Oladipo and center Steven Adams to multi-year contract extensions.
The team did not announce terms of the deals, but a report from the Yahoo Sports podcast The Vertical indicated Oladipo’s deal was for four years and $84 million.
Oladipo has only played three games for OKC after coming over in a trade from Orlando in the offseason.
The Yahoo report also said the Thunder’s deal with Adams is for four years at a reported $102 million.
Thunder general manager Sam Presti commented in a statement, saying “We are excited to extend our partnership with Steven and Victor. Both players represent the Thunder’s present and future, exhibiting the values that the Oklahoma community and our organization hold in high regard: hard work, team first, resiliency and citizenship.”
The Yahoo report also says OKC is working on a similar extension for guard Andre Roberson.
The NBA has a deadline at 11:00 pm Tuesday, November 1, for rookie contract extensions.
All three players are in their fourth year in the NBA.
