EDMOND, Okla. – A 15-year-old Oklahoma student was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly bringing a weapon and drugs to an Edmond high school.

On Tuesday, administrators at Edmond Santa Fe High School learned about a possible weapon on campus and immediately began working with the Edmond Police Department.

Authorities searched the teen and allegedly found an unloaded handgun, ammunition and marijuana in the student’s backpack.

School officials say the student did not make a specific threat toward any students or staff members.

However, the teenager will be punished and may face additional criminal charges.
