NOBLE, Okla. - A man was found shot in the neck at a home in Cleveland County early Thursday morning.

Around 12:45 a.m., the deputies were called to reports of a shooting near Cemetery Rd. and 72nd Street in Noble.

A woman said she came home and found her husband shot.

"When deputies arrived to the scene they located a man, a 25-year-old male who had been shot at least one time in the neck," said Meghan Jackson, Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators were on scene for several hours until the sun came up, waiting to get a search warrant in order to go inside and gather evidence.

As officials work to put the pieces together and figure out what happened, they believe this shooting stemmed from an altercation between two people.

"All we know is it was some type of verbal disagreement," said Jackson.

Neighbors say it's unsettling knowing there was a shooting so close to home.
