TULSA, Okla. – A trail of oil is what led police to a suspected hit-and-run driver on Sunday night.

During a traffic stop, Tulsa police say a woman was injured when a driver slammed into the back of a patrol car.

At that point, a woman who was speaking with an officer was pinned between her car and the patrol car.

Authorities tell FOX 23 that Johnnie Hunter allegedly slammed into the back of their patrol car and then took off.

Investigators were able to follow a trail of oil back to Hunter’s home and allegedly found the truck hidden near his neighbor’s house.

Hunter was arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident, interfering with emergency personnel and failure to stop.

The woman who was pinned was rushed to a hospital with a broken leg and possibly a broken pelvis.
