OKLAHOMA CITY – A large home in northwest Oklahoma City was destroyed after it caught fire on Thursday afternoon.

Around 4:30 p.m., firefighters rushed to a home in Nichols Hills, near Wilshire and Pennsylvania Ave., after learning about a possible house fire.

When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters attempted to keep the blaze from spreading to nearby homes, but the fire had nearly consumed the entire roof.

A short time later, firefighters put the fire out.

At this time, there is no word on what caused the fire or how much damage was actually done to the home.
