Christmas events, holiday shopping for the entire family this weekend

OKLAHOMA CITY – Christmas is just around the corner, so there are plenty of fun holiday events in store for your weekend.

Beginning at 5 p.m., Oklahoma City will kick off the holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Festival at 3rd Base Plaza at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The event is free and open to the public from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

If shopping is on your to-do list, there is a deluxe winter market in downtown Oklahoma City.

The two-day arts and craft show has a variety of vendors. The elf market is also a special place for children to shop for mom and dad with the help of volunteers. Doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Eats on 9th and Harvey is having a Black Friday food truck party! They are moving indoors at teh Ramada Inn near Bricktown on Friday at 6 p.m. You must be 21 to enter but admission is free.
