Multiple earthquakes rattle northern Oklahoma

MEDFORD, Okla. – Multiple earthquakes rattled northern Oklahoma Friday morning.

The United States Geological Survey reports a 4.3 magnitude quake struck near Medford around 9:19 a.m.

A 2.5 magnitude quake struck in the same area around 6:48 a.m., according to USGS.

No injuries have been reported.

Scientists have linked an increase in earthquakes in Oklahoma to the underground disposal of wastewater from oil and gas production.
