Sluggish Sooners Survive Abilene Christian

Oklahoma’s men’s basketball team got off to a slow start, but finally overcame Abilene Christian for a 72-64 win on Friday at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

OU made just 1 of their first 10 shots and trailed 30-26 at halftime, then took control early in the second half to get the win.

Jordan Woodard had 16 points to lead the Sooners, while Rashard Odomes was the only other OU player in double figures with 13 points.

Oklahoma shot just 36 percent from the field, but forced 22 Wildcat turnovers.

The Sooners were 29 of 46 at the free throw line, but were only 3 of 14 from three-point range.

Oklahoma improved to 4-1 on the season.
