Body discovered in Norman pond

NORMAN, Okla. – Authorities are asking for help finding clues after a man’s body was discovered in a Norman park last month.

Last month, police say a group of people playing disc golf at Northeast Lions Park discovered a man’s body in a nearby pond.

The victim was later identified as 47-year-old Kevin Michael Riley from Washington, Oklahoma.

Preliminary results from the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Riley likely drowned.

However, investigators say they are still looking into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Norman police say a family was seen cooking out at the park’s picnic area during the evening hours of Saturday, Nov. 26 and may have witnessed events leading up to Riley’s death.

Authorities are asking for the family and other witnesses to call the Norman Investigations Center at (405) 366-5235 or Norman CrimeStoppers at (405) 366-STOP.
