Johnny Lindsey, Oklahoma County Jail

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police have arrested a man accused of shooting another man to death in his backyard last week.

Around 10:26 p.m. on Nov. 23, Richard Nelson Jr. was in his backyard in the 6600 block of S. Kelley when he became involved in an altercation with another person.

During the altercation, police say Nelson was shot multiple times.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators believe 18-year-old Johnny Case “JC” Lindsey is responsible for Nelson’s death.

An arrest warrant was issued earlier this week for Lindsey.

Lindsey was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail early Friday.

He is facing a charge of first-degree murder.
