Oklahoma City firefighters in the right place at the right time, save residents from burning home

OKLAHOMA CITY – It was a busy night for Oklahoma City firefighters.

Thursday night, firefighters were called to a house fire in the 1500 block of N.E. 29th.

When crews arrived, they found one man dead inside a burning home.

On their way back to the station after leaving the fatal fire, firefighters noticed smoke coming from a home in the 1400 block of N.E. 30th.

Firefighters quickly worked to evacuate two people who were sleeping inside the home and didn’t know their home was on fire.

After extinguishing the fire, investigators determined approximately $25,000 in damage occurred to the home.

Officials believe the fire was electrical.
