Jesse Lawson, Oklahoma County Jail

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police found an alleged burglary suspect hiding inside a child’s closet in northeast Oklahoma City this week.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 14, four children, between the ages of 7 and 18, were at their home in the 1800 block of N.E. 52nd when they heard someone knocking on the door.

The children said that since their mother was at work, they didn’t answer the door.

A few minutes later, the children heard a window in the back of the house breaking.

That is when they say they saw a man climbing through the window.

All four children ran to a neighbor’s home and called police.

When officers arrived, they checked the home and found 18-year-old Jesse Lawson hiding inside a closet in one of the children’s bedrooms, the police report states.

He was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of first-degree burglary.
