The Oklahoma City Thunder issued a statement on Thursday responding to the death of long-time NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager.

Sager died Thursday after a nearly three-year long battle with leukemia.

Sager was 65.

The Thunder statement read as follows:

“As a broadcaster, Craig brought a brightness to our game that was unmatched, and as a person he showed us how to fight, how to have courage in the toughest of circumstances, all while putting smiles on the faces of all those around him. The Thunder organization expresses its deepest condolences to his family, and thanks him for his contributions.”
