Oklahoma County deputy’s traffic stop saves dazed owl

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. – A deputy in Oklahoma County hit his brakes after noticing something in the roadway.

When he got closer, he realized an owl was sitting in the middle of the road near Waterloo and Western.

The deputy immediately put his on lights, which caused other drivers in the area to slow down.

Officials with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office says the owl may have been hit by a vehicle and was in a daze.

When the deputy got close to it, it flew away and didn’t show any signs of injuries.
