Oklahoma City University issues ‘All Clear’ after reported shooting nearby

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University was briefly placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after reports of a nearby shooting.

Just before 2 p.m., police were called to reports of a shooting near N.W. 22nd and Virginia.

Initial reports indicate a suspect in a red Chevrolet HHR shot at a home and drove away.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Following reports of a shooting, Oklahoma City University, which is in the area, issued a Blue Alert, asking students and staff to shelter in place.

About one hour later, school officials issued an “all clear” after the suspect was not located on campus.

Officials are looking for a red Chevrolet HHR in connection to the shooting.
