OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has reopened I-235 at NE 36th Street.

Around 10:13 p.m. Tuesday, officials were forced to close the northbound lanes of I-235 near N.E. 36th due to high water.

A local detour was put in place until the water could subside.

Around 6 a.m., crews were able to reopen the road.

However, a crash near N.E. 50th on I-235 continues to slow down traffic.

Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.
