Woman killed during hit-and-run, driver still not found

Pedestrian fatality on I-40 and Western

OKLAHOMA CITY – 37-year-old Eulyessea J. Ayers was killed after a hit-and-run Saturday night on I-40 near Western Ave. The driver of the truck involved is still unknown.

A witness said she was crossing I-40 eastbound when a white lowered Chevrolet pick-up truck hit Ayers and left the scene.

Ayers was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Medical Examiners office immediately after.

There was significant damage done to the front left bumper of the truck, and police are still looking for the suspect.
