Man arrested in connection to bomb threat against Kay County Courthouse

KAY COUNTY, Okla. – A man has been arrested in connection to a bomb threat on Monday morning against the Kay County Courthouse.

According to the Ponca City News, 34-year-old Dean Allen Ustler confessed to the crime later in the day.

Ustler had called in the threat to the courthouse, claiming there were multiple bombs inside.

Authorities then evacuated the building and investigated the call.

Utsler is now being held on complaints of terroristic threats at the county jail.

Officials said no criminal cases were on the docket and court dates are to be rescheduled.

The courthouse is set to reopen on Tuesday.
