Police identify teen critically injured in crash

Accident scene from SE 59th & Sunnylane

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say they have identified a teenager who was critically injured when he was hit by a vehicle.

On Nov. 19, officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were called to S.E. 59th St. and Sunnylane Rd. on an accident involving a pedestrian.

Authorities soon learned that a boy riding a skateboard was hit by a vehicle.

The teenager was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

On Monday morning, investigators were trying to identify the victim and find his family.

The Oklahoma City Police Department says the boy looks to be about 14-years-old, is a white male with freckles and light-colored hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the crash.

The skateboard he was riding featured a picture of a girl on it.

Fortunately, officials say the victim has been identified and his family has been told about the accident.
