4 the Weekend: Holiday shopping underway with pop up shops

OKLAHOMA CITY – After you eat your fill, there are plenty of things to do on this holiday weekend.

The Holiday Pop Up Shops have returned to Midtown. Organizers say 35 locally owned shops that offer unique items for everyone on your list will be open Thursdays through Sundays.

Starting tomorrow, cruise along the Bricktown Canal decked out in holiday decor free of charge. The narrated and holiday-themed rides begin at the Main Water Taxi dock. You can catch it Thursdays through Sundays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Also, Deep Deuce Sessions- a monthly music art walk- is taking place Saturday, Nov. 25 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Deep Deuce District.

More good tunes can be heard at the Backwoods Country Music Show on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Centre Theater in El Reno. The event features traditional country, folk, blues, rock and gospel songs.

Finally, take advantage of the great weather to head out to Lake Thunderbird State Park for the next eagle watch. It’s a chance to see migrating eagles in their natural habitat. The watch is on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Discovery Cove Nature Center.
