WAGONER, Okla. – Officials in northeastern Oklahoma are looking for a man who tied up and robbed an elderly woman.

Police told Fox 23 the incident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim, Wilma Harrison, told police she was sleeping when she heard a noise in her home.

As she walked into her living room, she saw a man, wearing all camouflage, with a hoodie on backwards, the hood up, and holes cut out for his eyes. The man was pointing a gun at her.

He then kicked in the door, demanded money and drugs, and ransacked her home.

At one point, Harrison said she attempted to grab the gun the man had put down. However, that’s when the suspect tied her with an extension cord to the toilet in her bathroom. He also broke the cord off of an iron, and tied the door to the bedroom so Harrison would be unable to leave.

Harrison was able to break free from the cords, and then used a hammer to get the hinges off the door to get out.

“I told him, I said, ‘Your mom should be ashamed of you.’ I told him that when he was down here,” Harrison said. “He never said nothin’. He just kept digging around. He didn’t ask much. He didn’t want me to talk much I don’t think.”

Harrison said the only thing the man did tell her was “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”

The man took off with $700 and her car. Harrison said she planned to use the $700 to pay her property taxes.

Her car has since been recovered by police.

Authorities are still investigating.
