Police: Victim, suspect rushed to hospital after alleged stabbing

Stabbing near S.E. 39th St.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say two people were rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital following a reported stabbing.

Just after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, investigators were called to a stabbing at a home near S.E. 39th St. and Oklahoma Ave.

Authorities tell News 4 that the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and was taken into surgery. However, doctors expect the victim to survive.

Investigators say the alleged suspect, who was identified as 32-year-old Chad Meller, was also taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Officials say that Meller will be taken to jail after he is released from the hospital.
