Sooners Pull Away Late to Beat North Texas
Oklahoma’s men’s basketball team took charge with a late run and beat North Texas 82-72 on Thursday night at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
Freshman guard Trae Young led the Sooners with 32 points and hit six of OU’s 10 three-pointers, plus added 10 assists.
Khadeem Lattin was the only other Sooner to score in double figures with 12 points, but Oklahoma shot 54 percent from the field for the game.
North Texas made 50 percent of their shots and hit 13 three-pointers.
OU committed just seven turnovers and held the Mean Green to just two free throw attempts.
Oklahoma improved to 5-1 on the season.
The Sooners will host Texas-San Antonio, coached by former OU assistant Steve Henson, on Monday, December 4 at 7:00 pm.
