NORMAN, Okla. – It was a deal that producers of the Dan Patrick Show didn’t think they would have to keep.

In August, OU quarterback Baker Mayfield was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show and discussed his favorite celebrity, Justin Timberlake.

“How about I try to set it up where you’re a backup dancer for Justin Timberlake in one of his shows?” Patrick said.

“I’d kill it,” Mayfield responded.

The stipulation for the deal was that Mayfield would have to complete over 40 touchdown passes this season. While making the bet, Patrick noted that the Sooners were losing Joe Mixon, Samaje Perine and Dede Westbrook.

However, that didn’t seem to matter.

As it turns out, Mayfield has 41 touchdown passes and the University of Oklahoma made sure that Patrick knew about it.

After Oklahoma Football tweeted at the show, executive producer Paul Pabst responded simply by saying, “We are on it.”

A few hours later, the show announced that it has sent emails to Justin Timberlake to see if they can get Mayfield on as a backup dancer for one show.
