Overnight manhunt in the metro after man shot in attempted robbery

OKLAHOMA CITY – Two people are in custody after police say they attempted to rob then shot a man in the back.

Police got a call at 10:27 p.m. from a man who said he was shot in the back. He told dispatch a man and a woman shot him after trying to rob him at Portland and SW 29th Street.

After getting a description of the suspects and the vehicle, a silver sedan, from the victim.

Officers used the information to track down the vehicle at SW 21st Street and Kentucky.

When they arrived they found the two suspects around the vehicle.

The woman was arrested there.

The man fled on foot.

After setting up a perimeter in the area, officers found the man hiding in another vehicle nearby.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. The couple did not get away with anything from the suspect.
