NORMAN, Okla. – After capping the regular season with a Big 12 Championship, the University of Oklahoma’s football team is preparing to spend the New Year in California.

The No. 2 ranked Sooners are set to meet the No. 3 ranked Georgia Bulldogs in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.

The other national semifinal game will feature No. 1 Clemson taking on the surprising No. 4 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.

The winners from those games will then meet for the national championship.

While the Sooners are preparing for their first ever meeting with the Bulldogs, Sooner fans are clambering for tickets.

Tickets to the Rose Bowl are currently available online to season ticket-holders. However, you must fill out a request before receiving those tickets.

Student tickets will go on sale online on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

University officials tell News 4 that extra tickets that are not sold to season ticket-holders or student ticket-holders will go on sale to the general public online on Friday.
