OKLAHOMA CITY – If the cold temperatures have you dreaming about a warm summer vacation, you now have an easier option to get away.

On Thursday, American Airlines announced that it will begin nonstop service from Oklahoma City to Phoenix, Arizona beginning on April 3.

“We are thrilled to see American continue expanding in the market,” says Mark Kranenburg, airports director.  “American has a long history in Oklahoma City and we anticipate that the additional service will only strengthen its presence here by providing our customers more options for travel.”

The cities currently served nonstop by American from Will Rogers World Airport are Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles and Phoenix.
