MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Fire crews were able to rescue three animals after an early morning fire at a Midwest City apartment complex.

Just after 1 a.m., firefighters responded to the Huntington Place apartments and found several units on fire.

Three animals were rescued; two dogs and a cat. Thankfully, there were no other injuries.

The owners of the dogs thanked firefighters for rescuing their four-legged family members.

The family, who had just moved in earlier in the day, told News 4 they were thankful to have their pets but lost everything in the blaze.

The Red Cross was dispatched to assist with those displaced and apartment management will attempt to relocate tenants.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
