NORMAN, Okla. – Authorities are releasing more information on a deadly crash that occurred in Norman on Wednesday evening.

Around 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, police and emergency crews were called to an accident in the 900 block of W. Robinson St.

Investigators say a Mercury Marquis, driven by 85-year-old James Swaner, was heading eastbound when Swaner suffered some type of medical episode. Authorities say he was unconscious when his vehicle rear-ended two other vehicles and crossed the center line into westbound traffic.

Police say that Swaner was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
