Oklahoma woman’s wedding ring found after husband accidentally drops it into Salvation Army kettle

TULSA, Okla. – An Oklahoma woman is feeling grateful to have her wedding ring back after her husband accidentally dropped it into a Salvation Army kettle!

“I had outpatient surgery at St. John’s and I forgot to take [the rings] off. So at the last minute, I gave them to him and he put them in his pocket,” said the wife.

She said her husband was pulling change from his pocket for the kettle when her ring went in too.

When her husband couldn’t find the ring in his pocket when he got home, they immediately called the Salvation Army.

“So she called us, just frantic. ‘Oh my gosh, please. Do you have it?'” Captain Ken Chapman of the Salvation Army told Fox 23. “So we count the kettles the next morning, find her ring, gave it to her and she gave us a $100 donation.”

The woman said since she got her ring back, she has not taken it off.
