OKLAHOMA CITY - Deaf community leaders across the metro continue to fight for justice in the case of Magdiel Sanchez.

Sanchez was shot and killed by an Oklahoma City police officer earlier this year. Police were responding to a hit-and-run crash when they approached him in his front yard.

On Sunday, activists gathered at City Hall in downtown for a rally to show support for their friend.

Advocates for the deaf have been calling for a meeting with the Oklahoma County district attorney after he declined to file charges against the officer who fired his weapon.

The DA has said the officers were acting "lawfully" during the incident.
