Ana Llanusa Earns Big 12 Honor

Oklahoma freshman guard Ana Llanusa has earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors for the first time in her career.

The Choctaw native is coming off of a career high 27 points in OU’s 42 point win over New Mexico. Her 27 is the most scored by a Big 12 freshman this season.

She leads all Big 12 freshman in scoring this season at 12.4 points per game. Llanusa is the second Oklahoma Sooner to win Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors. Mandy Simpson was the first Sooner to take home honors earlier this season.

Next up for the Sooners, they square off with UConn Tuesday.
